What makes a tattoo bad?
1.If it’s the wrong size
2.The wrong spot
This includes basically anything on the lower back or around the belly button.
3.Wrong form of your/ you’re is used
This happens more than you would thing…
4.Tattoos of brands or food chains
I’ve seen Monster energy drink, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Mt. Dew, Dr. Pepper, Fox racing, M&M’s, Etc.
People try to sound deep by inking a quote they found on the internet onto their bodies, but 99.99% of the time they just sound like a dumb teenager.
6.Tattoos of celebrities
I’ve seen Bob barker, Drew Carry, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Oprah, Megan Fox, Avril Lavigne, Cher, Judge Judy, Will Farrel, Bono, Brett Michaels, Lil’ Wayne, 50 Cent, Justin Bieber, Robert Pattinson, Etc.
If you’re getting a tattoo and don’t know how to spell a word use Google, ask a friend, or pull out a dictionary. Please don’t guess! Also, be sure to check the artist work for mistakes. And even if you are sure it couldn’t hurt to double check.
8.Thoughtless, immature, or careless designs
I’ve seen far to many of these to name, but some of my favorites are a cupcake sitting on a toilet, curtains made af meat, and a zombie taco.
9.When you’re unable to read the words
Font and spacing are key when getting words!
This includes but is not limited to sponge bob, hello kitty, and my little pony.
If you have a tramp stamp or barbed wire this includes you.
12.Choosing the wrong artist
Look at past works, get references, and shop around when it comes to an artist. Make sure they specialize in the type of work you want. If you are going to get a portrait don’t get it done by someone who specializes in cartoon work. Also, please never go to a scratcher!
13.The name of an ex
Don’t get their names tattooed if you are not married please! and even then think carefully about it. Please, if you do happen to get one and break up get it removed, not covered up by a “void stamp” tattoo.
I never recommend a face, hand or neck tattoo unless you are a self employer.
If you have a dolphin or flowers on your lower back, then this includes you.
16.Bad cover ups
Make sure it is both dark enough and large enough.
I always recommend going to a specialist for portraits since photo realisms are the hardest to do.
These are the main things but lots of other things make a tattoo ad also. A tattoo is on your body forever. Be wise about it!
